Bad things happen in threes?
First my TV died in September (causing the whole Currys Saga… which at least turned out OK in the end, as I got a bigger and better TV out of it).
Then the Sky+HD box (early Thomson one) started playing up… it appears to have the infamous PSU issue. More and more channels started dropping due to “no satellite signal”, recordings kept failing… it’s got so bad now it’s pretty much unusable. So I need to get the PSU replaced with a better quality Satcure/Digifix one with decent capacitors that don’t give up and start bulging or leaking…
And then yesterday, on the fourth anniversary of the Xbox 360′s launch, my two year old Xbox 360 Elite decided to die on me, with the dreaded Red Ring of Death (RROD)
Wonderful. My original Xbox 360 Premium, purchased back on Launch Day in 2005, had the RROD after only about 18months. I had it “repaired” by MS, and then later that year traded it in towards an “Elite”. And now the Elite has died.
Arse.
I just hope my PS3 doesn’t get the YLOD…
