So, despite never really liking Apple, I’ve gone and got myself an iPhone lol.
16GB, black.
Got fed up with my N95, and fed up with T-Mobile. Considered the upcoming N97, but didn’t really want another slider, and definitely not a qwerty one.
And the more I looked into the iPhone, the more appealing it became. May be missing things like a decent res camera, Bluetooth file transfer, etc… But I don’t care about any of that anyway, the N95 had them and they didn’t get used. I want a kick-ass PMP and web device, plus calls and texts etc.
So I returned to O2 last week, and have since had my shiny new toy for a week.
And it really is so bloody good. Phone, iPod, web and email, GPS, built in Google Maps and YouTube, etc etc. Wicked.
And then there’re all the Apps, loads of stuff you can get for it. Got a Flixster Movies app earlier that uses the GPS to find your nearest cinemas, then it lists what they’re showing and gives address and phone links.
The UI really is stunning, so much better than that of previous smartphones I’ve used with Symbian S60 & UIQ, and of course Windows Mobile.
It’s great. My best gadget in ages. I’m even using it to write this (another handy app).
Now to try and eBay my N95…
