So, I finished work for the year on Friday 21st December, and don’t go back until Friday 2nd January.
Haven’t really done a great deal, but it’s always nice having time off work.
The first couple of days last week were spent working my way through the Extended Edition DVDs of The Lord of the Rings trilogy (bit of a festive tradition for me).
Wednesday last week… can’t actually remember what I did. Probably had a massive lie-in and then did sod all the rest of the day.
On Thursday (Christmas Day), Ally and I went down to stay at her brother Ian’s, as Ally’s parents were over for Christmas. Big Christmas dinner and lots of Christmas TV (Wallace & Gromit, Harry Potter, Doctor Who, etc.).
On Boxing Day, more food, more TV, and then we came home late in the evening.
On Saturday we went to my parents for dinner, and also saw my brother and his girlfriend.
Sunday… a normal Sunday for me. Got up late, had lunch, and then watched a DVD (Blade) and played a game (The Orange Box).
Monday was another late start, and then I watched Blade II and Blade Trinity.
Today was also a late start, and I then watched Wargames (on TV), followed by Conspiracy (the excellent BBC/HBO dramatisation of the Wannsee Conference).
Only two days-off left before I have to go back to work 
– I really should get up earlier…
