Had the Ring of Death today, for the first time, on my launch 360 
Was playing Oblivion, & suddenly the light on the HD DVD drive’s eject button went out, & the screen went blank (yet the 360 still appeared to be on).
Turned it off, turned it on, tried again.
Same thing happened after a few mins of Oblivion.
Turned it off, turned it on……three red lights……
Turned it off, turned it on again……three red lights……
Turned it off, turned it on again…seemed OK, & held up OK while I played Oblivion for a couple of hours.
I guess it’s on its last legs now…
I do actually have the MS extended warranty (took it out just after I bought the thing).
But, I’d really rather not be subjected to some shitty MS refurb, so if/when it does die completely, I think I’ll first see if the dipshits at GAME actually honour my statutory rights as a consumer…
Fucking shoddy Microsoft workmanship……..
