Erm, when was the last entry? Ah, Friday.
Right.
Friday night – due to bank holiday weekend confusion, I put all my clocks (watch, phone, alarm clock…even the clock on the oven & the one in the bathroom!) forward by one hour on Friday night. It felt like it was Saturday, ya see. What an idiot.
Saturday – Went into town in the afternoon. Wandered around, spent ages browsing in HMV & Borders, & did a bit of food shopping in Sainsbury’s. Was meant to meet with LLoyd for coffee, but he was running late with his own shoppingso that fell through. Went out Saturday night, to the Prince Regent, with Ben, Rob, & Graham. Good night, good to see Graham again on one of his brief trips back from Italy.
Sunday – Erm, did fuck all. Tidied my room, did loads of laundry, watched TV. That’s about it. Watched “Earthsea” on C4. Not bad. Never read the books though, so I don’t know how it compares.
Monday – Fuck all once more. Had this idea of going to the Botanic garden, or even just going to the cinema or something, but everyone else was too lame or doing something else. Went to WingTsun on Monday evening. Can’t remember the name of what we did, but it involved using the basic shapes from the “Siu nim tao” form to counter different punches. Popped to the Flying Pig afterwards for a quick couple of drinks with LLoyd & Rob.
Tuesday – Blah. Back to work. Out on Tuesday night for a workmate’s birthday. About 14 of us went to Bella Italia (used to be Bella Pasta) near the river, very nice. Few of us then popped over the road to the Granta after the meal, for a quick drink before closing time.
Wednesday (today!) – Fairly slow day at work. I should appreciate it though, really, as next week will be an absolute bastard from what I gather. Went to WT’s after work, for a few games of pool, & then nipped over theroad for WingTsun. Did various punches, defences, & take-downs.
